pls some1 help me.. am doing my engineering final year now.. I am writing my gre exam in this october.. can any1 suggest me any good book to follow n there are many gre softwares in search list which is best software for writing gre exam.. plss help

Yaa lots of books and software….like Gre barrons,kaplan,Nova,Big book,Gre bible
all have their respective softwares………i used book of barrons & gave tests from softwares……

POSEIDON Greek Gods

In Greek mythology, Poseidon (Greek: Ποσειδῶν; Latin: Neptūnus) was the god of the sea, as well as of horses, and, as “Earth-Shaker,” of earthquakes. The name of the sea-god Nethuns in Etruscan was adopted in Latin for Neptune in Roman mythology: both were sea gods analogous to Poseidon. Linear B tablets show that Poseidon was venerated at Pylos and Thebes in pre-Olympian Bronze Age Greece, but he was integrated into the Olympian gods as the brother of Zeus and Hades. Poseidon has many children. There is a Homeric hymn to Poseidon, who was the protector of many Hellenic cities, although he lost the contest for Athens to Athena. Poseidon was given a trident during the war of the Titans and the gods, in which he fought alongside his siblings. The war lasted ten years, after which the gods divided the earth among themselves by drawing lots. Zeus took the sky, Poseidon the sea and Hades the underworld. Although Poseidon, unlike Hades, had a throne on Mt. Olympus, he liked to stay underwater in his palace with his queen Amphitrite, the daughter of the Old Man of the Sea. Poseidon’s symbols are the trident and the dolphin.

Princeton Review is pretty good. Kaplan’s Verbal Workout was great for verbal prep.

About the Term “Pagan”:
In our days it is used to call a non-monotheistic religion as pagan or neo-pagan, but this word in reality is an insult for the native/ethnic polytheistic pre-Christian religions. We prefer not to use this term which was applied from the Christian church in order to insult our ancestors and their religion and way of life. The term ‘Pagan’, which in the original Latin is derived from Paganus (peasant), is yet another insult used by the victorious Christians since the 4th Century, to belittle what remained of the Native Religions. They used this to label all those remaining loyal to their Ethnic Traditions, to imply that they were uneducated and uncouth villagers. The term was used for centuries in most European languages to refer to the Ethnikoi. In the 20th Century, it was reintroduced with the suffix neo (viz. Neopaganism), by various Christian-inspired devotees of Esotericism and the New Age. ‘Neopaganism’ doesn’t concern us. It may even be a manufactured ploy to detract from the current world rule of the so-called ‘Monotheists’.

“Pagan” as a pejorative term was used in the past by institutions attempting to destroy other cultures and native/ethnic religions.

What is the best way to prepare for the GRE in a 2-3 time period?

I will be applying to the University of Dallas Texas for admission to their Speech Language Pathology graduate program. The application deadline is September 15, 2010 and I haven’t taken the GRE yet. I need to take the GRE ASAP so I have at least 4 weeks to get the results back. I have the Kaplan GRE book and now I need to study, study, study …. any suggestions?

I just took the test and did well enough to get into school but you may be able to put on the app that you took it and are waiting on the results if you think you need more time.
