What GRE test prep book should I buy?
I want to go to grad school and I am wondering what GRE test prep books you all have used. Im guessing that the Kaplan books are the best, but has anyone tried any others.
The Barron’s book is probably the best book out there for the GRE. It’ll take you through all the math and give you plenty of questions that are harder than the ones on the actual GRE. It also gives you a huge wordlist for the verbal section and if you manage to memorize it, your verbal score will be very high.
There’s also the ETS book called Practicing to Take the GRE with several full-length paper GRE tests.
If you want to get a very high score, go through the Barron’s book, then go through the ETS book, then take the PowerPrep tests and then take the real thing.

For quant, any 9-10th standard maths book would be sufficient. You need to practice though.
